Founding chairperson of Ballboys. His (more than) full-time role is with the Geldards law firm.

Darren is one of the founders of Ballboys along with Keith Binley. He has held a number of senior positions in banks, start-up and fast growth businesses. He brings experience of starting businesses, a high degree of commerciality and a strong network to Ballboys.

He is a sports fanatic, cricket lover, Fulham FC supporter, terrible (but enthusiastic) golfer and was once a ball boy at Wimbledon! The opportunity to be able to bring his commercial experience, love of sports and a desire to play an active role in the charitable sector together was too much to resist. When Darren heard about Ballboys not only was it a real “laugh out loud” moment but also a chance to get involved.

Along with his role in Ballyboys Darren is also a director of Consort Group, a fast growing recruitment business, and chairman of a financial services start up. He has previously work for Barclays Bank, HBOS Group, Metro Bank and also as an independent consultant.

David became a Trustee in October 2013. Ballboys were looking to expand it's Board of Trustees and were specifically searching for an individual with experience around customer and partnership management and the utilisation of digital media for customer engagement. David fitted our requirements perfectly with his previous and current employment.

As well as being a Ballboys Trustee, David is currently the Partnership Director for Serco Global Services and has responsibility for the Retail sector with clients including Shop Direct Group, Freeman Grattan Holdings and Ideal Shopping.

As a Trustee he brings a wealth of experience covering all aspects of Customer Management, Partner Selection and Management and general business management.

David has previously worked with BSkyB and Vodafone.
