When I came up with the idea to try to break the world record for fastest journey on foot from Lands End to John O’Groats, I did not realise how generous some people and companies would be in assisting me in reaching my goal.

Before I go any further, I feel I need to make something very clear. All of what I am doing is to raise awareness of testicular cancer and the work Ballboys are doing to spread the word. I do not expect anything for free. I am not trying to make a name for myself and I do not have any other hidden agenda. I simply want to make as many people as possible talk about testicular cancer.

Since my journey to a world record began I have been fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of some very generous people.

To name a few of them:

Sarah from The Running Academy.

Sarah has designed me an in depth training program as well as giving up her time once a week to catch up with me over the phone to find out how training is going.

She motivates, advises, teaches and listens and all for the good of the cause! Amazing generosity!

I can’t recommend The Running Academy more - so helpful.

Tireless Bull

A donation of some running kit was gratefully received from Tireless Bull. Their clothing is high quality and I certainly did not expect such nice kit to be donated.

I wear their shorts on almost every run - genuinely my favorite pair of shorts I own.

Lululemon

A spiky massage ball, some blister care, a running book and some hydration drink powder - all extremely useful to me in my training. The ball gets a lot of use!

All of this was an unexpected Christmas surprise from Lululemon.

Water-To-Go

Bottles that make any fresh water source safe to drink make my training kit lighter (as I do not have to carry a full bottle of water all the time) and I know that these will be even more useful during the record attempt later in the year.

Water-To-Go have been very generous in donating a number of these bottles and filters to my training. My personal favorite is the camo bottle!

I am sure that this list will continue to grow as I get closer and closer to my word record attempt. I can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity and support so far.

I will do all I can not to let you down and to get as many people talking about testicular cancer as possible.
